AES-256-GCM at rest
Stored message data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM. The per-conversation, derived-on-device key model ships at v1.0.
Encrypted in transit
TLS in front of the API and WebSocket connections. Full transport spec (versions, HSTS) lives on the security page.
Delete means delete
You can permanently delete any message, any file, any conversation. Permanence is the default. Deletion is yours to invoke.
Ownership
