Delete your ChatVia account
You can delete your account at any time, from the app or on this page. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
1. In the app
Open ChatVia on Android, iPhone, desktop or the web, then go to Settings → Account → Delete Account and follow the steps.
2. On this page
No app needed. We email you a code to prove the account is yours, then a second code to confirm the deletion.

3. What is deleted
- Your profile: name, username, email address, profile photo and bio.
- Your sign-in: you are signed out on every device, and linked Google or Apple sign-in is removed.
- Your contacts, blocked list and settings.
- Your membership in every group. Group members see “A user has deleted their account”.
- Any paid plan’s auto-renew. It is cancelled before anything else, so you are not charged again.
4. What is kept
- Messages and files you already sent stay in the chats of the people you sent them to, shown as from “Deleted User”. They can delete them from their own chats.
- Payment and invoice records, for as long as Indian tax law requires.
5. Ask us by email
Can’t sign in? Email support@chatvia.in from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my ChatVia account”. We will delete it and email you to confirm.
