Built private, by design
ChatVia is built around two practical promises today: your data is stored on servers inside India, and you can permanently delete any message, any file, any conversation whenever you choose. The full end-to-end encryption model (per-conversation keys derived on your device, ciphertext that nobody on our team can read) ships at v1.0 alongside a third-party security audit. ChatVia has native apps for Mac and Windows (Tauri-wrapped), a native Android app, an iOS app in TestFlight, and a web client at chatvia.in that works in any modern browser. One account, one history, every device.
Free, forever
There’s no paid tier. There’s no “premium.” Building this took a lot of work, but the marginal cost of letting one more person send encrypted messages is essentially zero, so charging for it doesn’t make sense.
If you want to support the project, the most useful thing you can do is tell a friend. The harder thing, building a network where private communication is the default, only works when people actually use it.
